On 22.05.2013 during joint inspections conducted at Eluru the Drugs Control Officers detected 2 cases under Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisement) Act, 1954 and 2 cases under Drugs Price Control Order,1995 at M/s Sai Vijaya Medical Agencies, Eluru .
The following drugs were seized for the violation of Sec 3 of Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisement) Act, 1954 as the drugs are indicating for the cure “FEVER” on their label.

The following drugs were seized for gross violation by the firms for printing Maximum Retail Price (MRP) over and above the ceiling prices fixed by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Government of India on violation of Para 8 of Drugs Price Control Order, 1995.

On 04-06-2013, M/s Laborate Pharmaceuticals India Ltd., in Vijaywada was inspected and 9 of items of drugs Mfg by Laborate Pharmaceuticals India Ltd., Himachal Pradesh were detected for gross violation of ceiling prices and the same were seized for violation of Para 8 of DPCO 1995.
On 06.06.2013, 10 of items of drugs Mfg by Ridley Life Science, Delhi, were detected for gross violations of ceiling prices and the same were seized for violation of Para 8 of DPCO 1995.
Drug worth Rs.1 crore 1 lakh were recalled from the market.
